Playing Hooky at the NGC

Playing Hooky at the NGC

Nancy: It was a couple days before the end of summer courses and we had enough. We tried to write our final group paper but when every word felt like pulling teeth, we packed our camera and headed to the National Gallery of Canada.

When I'm doing school work, I like to be as comfy as possible. I picked up these cheeky shorts from H&M a couple months ago during my NYC trip and they're so soft. The over-sized Rachel Roy crop top walks the line between edgy and proper, which was extremely important as these shorts are very, very short. With all the exposed arms and legs happening, I brought this thrifted denim shirt along just in case the weather decides to be funny.

Bolu: One of the things that attracted me to Ottawa was the abundance of art galleries and museums which I swore to take advantage of my first year of uni. Fast forward three years later and I can't believe this is my first time at the National Gallery of Canada. It was just as amazing as I had imagined it would be years ago. Not only does it hold so many fascinating pieces of art but it also turned out to be a great place to take pictures! Clearly, I need to play hooky more often!

I wanted to go for a really clean casual look so I paired these light wash jeans I recently bought from American Eagle with my white shirt and jacket as seen here, also from American Eagle.

This white clutch just topped off the look. I absolutely love the gold and quilted details as it really makes the clutch stand out.
